Missions

Missions is the heartbeat of God.  Without someone telling others the Gospel message, we never would have accepted Christ as our Saviour.  Before Christ left the earth, He gave us one last prayer request.  This request was to pray for more labourers to enter the harvest field.  He also left one final command which was to go and be a witness to every creature of the world.

Based on these things, Gateway Baptist Church has a two fold plan for our mission's program.  First, we are actively praying that God would call someone from among us to go forth and plant churches where the Gospel is not actively preached.  To help with this goal, our church will take periodic mission's trips to see the need in other parts of the world. Second, we are directly involved in proclaiming the Gospel to the world.  We do this through a church wide letterboxing and visitation program and through supporting church planting missionaries or those helping in church planting.  Currently, our church supports the Jackson family in the Philippines, the Evans Family in Japan, and the Crocket Family in Romania.
